Ready for your DARN GOOD DOG, Chicago?
Chocolate: can cause vomiting, diarrhea, tremors, seizures, and even death.
Xylitol: a sweetener found in gum, sauces, and toothpaste; can cause dangerously low blood sugar and liver failure.
Garlic/onions, and raisins: common in stuffing; toxic to dogs (also grapes, currants, leeks, and scallions).
Unbaked bread dough: can expand in the stomach and cause bloat, while the fermentation process can lead to alcohol poisoning.
Marijuana: dogs are very sensitive to THC; can cause vomiting, tremors, or even coma.
Instead, include your dog safely with a mini Thanksgiving plate: plain turkey or chicken, sweet potato or pumpkin (minimal sugar or spice), and plain green beans.
